ACER AOA1101 AW Review
Design-wise the ACER Aspire One AOA110-AW looks great. It comes in a dark navy, almost metallic blue, with a black keyboard and a high gloss black bezel around the LCD Screen. The screen size is a respectable 8.9 inches, and by adjusting the brightness it is viewable in almost all light conditions (even direct sunlight). The keyboard buttons are well spaced and easy to type on.
The only moving part in the ACER AOA110-AW is the fan, which makes it fairly robust and reliable. Loading times are very quick (sometimes as little as 15 seconds). One negative aspect is that you are not able to add more RAM without taking the ACER AOA110-AW apart, which of course means you lose your warranty.
The touchpad is quite small, and the mouse buttons are on the side, and not below as normal. This does take some getting used to, but is required due to the small size.
The ACER AOA110-AW comes with a fair amount of preloaded software, such as OpenOffice Suite’s, Firefox, instant messenger client and email etc.
The ACER AOA110-AW is recommended to people who will use it mainly for typing and not require extensive storage.
