Advent 4213 Review
The Advent 4213 is very similar to its sister netbook, the 4214 (read our Advent 4214 review), with one major difference, it has built-in 3G HSDPA.
The rest of the specs are very similar, if not identical, the Advent 4213 has a 10.2 inch screen, 1GB RAM, 160GB storage, an Intel Atom processor and runs Windows XP. Of course there is the, now standard, 0.3 mega pixel webcam above the screen as well.
The 4214 has an almost perfectly flat keyboard, but it does seem like they could have made it slightly larger, although the mousepad is a good size. Regarding the ‘thinness’ of the Advent 4214, we have had a few people mention that it is not as thin as it appears, as the netbook slopes back and down to accomodate the battery, so it does get thicker towards the back. Even though it looks like a large battery, it is actually the standard 3-cell, so battery life will be around 3.5 hours.
As you can see it is almost identical to the Advent 4213 and is going for roughly the same price, roughly £250.
Like we mentioned though, the key point to the Advent 4214 is the built-in 3G HSDPA. There is a slot beneath the battery to slot the Sim card and you can use any network you want. And built-in is always better, so we would recommend the Advent 4214 over it’s sister any day.
