Asus Eee PC T91 Review
The Asus Eee PC T91 is a stunning netbook. It is ultraportable, being just an inch thin and weighing less than 1kg, and a screen that measures 9 inches. You could smuggle this in your socks if you wanted! Battery life looks good at 5 hrs+, however there is only 32GB or storage. This can be increased though by using Additional SD cards. UK Pricing has been set to be around £450, which is pretty high for a netbook. So why would you pay such a premium for a Netbook?
Well, have a look at it, the beauty! The screen is a touch screen. Cool. But, it also flips all the way over to become an Internet Tablet (the full name is the Asus Eee PC T91 Touchscreen Tablet). Now that is really something special.
We have been talking recently about how netbook manufacturers can differentiate themselves in the overcrowded market, and this is definitely a way to stand out from the crowd. The touch screen can also respond to input from more than one finger…at the same time.
Looks-wise the Asus EeePC T91 has a glossy finish with a black bezel around the screen, and it will be available in Black, Pink, Champagne and Navy. The stylish (when in tablet mode) is stored in the front right hand corner and secured by magnet. Also, you are able to turn the touch screen on or off by just toggling a button. The keyboard will be a chiclet-style keyboard (like the Asus Eee PC 1000he) which makes it easier to type fast as well as looka great. Some optional extras include 3G, TV Tuner and GPS.
Now the price is high, especially for the storage amount. So…would I buy I? Yes. Reason, well its the first netbook with a touch reversible screen, and that is cool.
