Compaq Mini 700EA Review

The Compaq Mini 700EA is Compaq’s first entrance into the Netbook market. The Compaq Mini 700 has a 10.2 inch screen, which is surpising, as most manufacturers choose to launch their netbooks with 8.9 inch screens. It is a great looking netbook with a good sized keyboard. The touchpad is respectable, but Compaq have put the mouse buttons on the sides of the touchpad, which is a pet hate of ours.
The Mini Compaq 700 comes with a full range of preloaded software, such as Microsoft Works, IE, Adobe Reader, Flash player etc. There is built-in wifi and bluetooth to ensure you are always connected.

Start time is super fast, and the interface is intiutive and easy to use. With 60GB of space you are sure to have plenty to get started with and can always add additional memory at a later stage.

Overall the Compaq Mini 700EA is a good start for Compaq. We would have prefered the mouse buttons to be beneath the toughpad and perhaps 3G, but for the price it is worth it.
