Dell Inspiron Mini 10 Review
At £300 the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is’nt cheap, but then again it is packed with storage space and features. The screen is a generous 10.1 inches, giving you more space to work with. The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is the newest netbook to the Dell family, and shows their determination to capitalise on the enormous recent popularity of Netbooks.
The Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is a good looking netbook, that comes in a variety of ‘off-the-wall’ colours, such as obsidian black, alpine white, cherry red, pretty pink, ice blue and jade green. The black, white and red are are favourite colours. And just see the specs: Wireless, built-in webcam, optional bluetooth, 1GB RAM, 160GB Hard Drive and an HDMI output for hooking it up to your TV.
The Dell Mini 10 is nice and light at only 1.3 kg, only slightly heavier than the ACER Aspire One AOA110-AW and will fit well in any backpack.
The keyboard of the Dell Inspiron 10 is larger than the typical netbook, which makes it much easier to type (especially if you are typing really fast). One of the coolest features is the multi-touch gesture recognising touchpad. This means that using simple motions you can rotate, scroll and zoom documents and pictures. Plus the keyboard and touchpad are spill resistant.
Overall the Dell Inspiron Mini 10 is an excellent highly spec’d Netbook, with cool features and many colour options. Highly recommended, although Testfreaks only rated it 7.9/10 as a result of the battery only lasting 3 hours.
