Toshiba NB205 Review
The Toshiba NB205 is the latest netbook to come from Toshiba. Like the Toshiba NB200 it is a 10.1 inch netbook, and the rest of the specs are all pretty run of the mill for netbooks.
The NB205 is powered by an Intel Atom processor and runs Windows XP. It offers 1GB RAM and 160GB storage, so there is plenty of space to store your apps, pictures and various other files.
Toshiba have also fitted the NB205 with a powerful 6-cell battery that should eek out about 9hours of life, which is brilliant by any comparison.
So what is the main calling card of the Toshiba NB205? It’s looks and quality design. The first thing that jumps out at you is the amazing looking keyboard. Toshiba have followed a chiclet design which not only looks really modern,but enables fast typing with less errors due to better spacing between the keys. The keys feel solid and robust to the touch and will be offered in either metal or a cheaper plastic option. The touchPad too is high quality and is full laptop size.
Toshiba really did go all out in making sure that the NB205 not only looks quality, but is made using high quality materials which are very apparent when used.
A cool feature Toshiba have included is sleep-and-charge technology, which means that you can plug in your peripherals to any of the three USB ports and they will charge even if the NB205 is turned off.
The Toshiba NB205 will come with two different configurations.
♦ The Toshiba NB205-N310 which is the more high end set-up, with the metallic finish, chiclet style keyboard and available in Sable Brown, Frost White, Indigo Blue and Posh Pink.
♦ The Toshiba NB205-N210 which will be slightly cheaper, only come in black (matte) and have a flat keyboard.
