Commonly (and not so commonly) used Netbook terms and their meaning

Processor: A processor is the logic circuitry that responds to and processes the basic instructions that drive a computer

Operating System: A software program or set of programs that mediate access between physical devices (such as a keyboard, mouse, monitor, disk drive or network connection) and application programs (such as a word processor, World-Wide Web browser or electronic mail client)

Memory (RAM): Also called memory, is temporary storage space on chips in your computer. RAM stands for Random Access Memory

Cloud Computing: Where most computer applications are based online and accessed via the PC/Netbook instead of actually being on the hard drive
