HP New Mini Netbooks

HP have recently announced their latest netbooks, the HP Mini 110 (known as the Compaq 110c in the UK) and the HP Mini 1101. Both netbooks are very similar but they target completely different audiences.

The basic shared specs are that they are 25mm thick, weigh 1.1kg, Intel Atom processor, wifi, 160GB HDD, 1GB RAM and a 92% sized keyboard. The screens are 10.1 inches.

Now the differences. The Compaq 110c (HP Mini 110) is available with Windows XP or Linux and comes in pink or white/black swirl colours. The Linux version will also have 2GB RAM and 250GB storage. In addition there is an optional Broadcom Crystal HD Enhanced Video Accelerator for streaming HD video.

The Mini 1101 is the business netbook. Available in only black (boring) and Windows Xp or Windows Vista.

Nothing really life altering here from HP, and it seems they are just beefing up there offering.
