Farewell to Dell Mini 9

Dell have decided to stop selling the Mini 9. This was Dell’s first foray into the netbook market, and their smallest netbook.
Why have they stopped selling it? Well, that’s anyones guess. Dell initially cited stock shortages (poor), but it could be that the mini 9 just did not sell well? Did’nt make sufficient profit. Or maybe Dell just outgrew it and want to focus on larger netbooks, which seems to be the direction in which consumers are moving.

Dell do have other netbooks in their range, such as the Dell Mini 10 and the Dell Mini 12. However these might be out of the price range of the person who was looking to buy a Dell 9,. So Dell have introduced the Dell Mini 10v, which has very simialr specs to the Mini 9, but is actually a little cheaper.

See the offiial statement from Dell on their blog.
